How we verify things
Park fees come from the Government of Botswana tariff documents and DWNP, not from copied operator pages, and every fees page shows when we last checked it. That matters here more than most places: the fee increase announced for April 2026 was postponed at the last minute, and plenty of sites now quote rates that are either obsolete or not yet in force.
When the department publishes no figure, that absence is what we report. Nobody publishes a verifiable vehicle-fee schedule for Botswana's parks, several campsite concessionaires publish no rates at all, and no robust leopard density estimate exists for Moremi, so we tell you that instead of repeating numbers we cannot stand behind. Wildlife claims follow published research and the official World Heritage documentation.
